Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born April 28 in 1967) is an American actress and singer. Wuhrer began her career as she was in her teens. She is best known for her character Maggie Beckett on the TV series Sliders, as well as as the character of Sheriff Samantha Parker, in the horror-comedy film Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer was born at Brookfield Connecticut as the daughter of Karin Noble and worked as a pay clerk as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer. There are three brothers and sisters. The singer began performing in nightclubs as a teenager and was known to sneak away from her house to sing. Kari Samantha Wuhrer, an American model and actress was born in Brookfield, CT on April 28, 1967. Her birth date was the 28th of April, 1967 at Brookfield, Connecticut. She is the daughter of an American-born father from Germany and a German-American mother. Kari's siblings are three. As a teenager her nightclub performances were a highlight in secret, escaping to take a break. Kari aged thirteen years old, was enrolled at the Wooster School and Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. She also attended drama classes in Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College, Marymount Manhattan College college, and also The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where she had a teacher renowned as Uta. Kari began acting as a teen. Her first break occurred in 1987, when she was introduced to MTV Remote Control.
