Lisa Edelstein was an American actress, best known as the star of Fox's House medical drama. Her family was from Wayne where she was a part of a traditional Jewish tradition. When she was 18 she moved in New York City to study at Tisch School for the Arts. However, very quickly, she became active in the club scene and made enough noise to get seen by the media and concurrently, becoming conscious of the devastating effects of AIDS. Then, she combined her talents and fame her writing and composing skills in the production of a play titled Positive Me. Soon after she was recruited by MTV to host Awake on the Wild Side. After the show ended the show, she began appearing on films and television productions initially in smaller roles. She gradually established herself as an actor.
