Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. Paquin was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Wellington she made her first appearance as Flora McGrath when she played the role in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 to be the Best Supporting Actress. Anna Paquin is full Anna Helene Paquin born on the 24th of July, 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian actress from New Zealand who as a child was awarded the Academy Award in 1993 for the top actor supporting. She was the fiery daughter of Holly Hunter's role in The Piano. After she responded to an open call for auditions to play the character, she was chosen in the role of Flora McGrath, the daughter of a mute Scottish piano player who moves to New Zealand in mid-19th-century to marry. The actress was just nine and had no performing experience. When she was in her teens, the actress relocated to America. Paquin was in a brief role in the role of Jane Eyre's title character while she was just a young girl in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (1996) as well as a lead part in the movie Fly Away Home (1996). Paquin played a minor role in the 1997 TV movie adapting Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad which she was in, she played the queen of Spain in a minor role. She also played teens on the screen in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon(1999) and Almost Famous (2000). The actress also played the role of groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
