Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Dennis Alan Taylor was a former banker. Jennifer Marina Joy worked as a Psychotherapist. The father of her is Argentine who is of Scottish and English descendance. Her mother is Spanish-English. She was the first born of a clan that included six children. Four of them are siblings from her previous marriage to Taylor's father. The family lived at Buenos Aires until she was six, after which they moved to the Victoria area of London. Taylor Joy states that the move to England was extremely stressful. She was not willing to study English and believed she would be able to relocate back to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school after she switched from Northlands. She then enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she studied dance and performed in shows. When she reached the age of 16years old, Taylor-Joy left the school to concentrate on her acting career. Taylor-Joy had always wanted to become an actor. At the age of 16, Sarah Doukas Founder of Storm Management gave her the chance to be a model.
